Your Perfect Average Day

“If there were no limitations or consequences, what would your perfect average day look like?”

A friend asked that one day based on the video below. It was just what I needed to think about. I was stuck in a rut. The longer you stay down the more normal it becomes and it just becomes your life.

Much like The Mighty Script, this purposefully worded to make you think in possibilities. This is not the perfect day we are talking about, this is the perfect day you could live over and over for the rest of your life. The video below explains it all and it’s also perfect proof that quality of the message is more important than the quality of the video.

In case this video ever gets taken down or you just don’t want to watch it, here’s the breakdown of Frank Kern’s perfect day exercise.

“If there were no limitations or consequences, what would your perfect average day look like?”

Limitations could be: Financial, Geographic, Health, Limiting People
Consequences could be: Stuff that could get you into trouble or problems
Average: You could do all of this stuff every day and not die or get sick of it

Questions to consider:

“Where would you live?
“What would your house look like?
What would you do in the morning? What would you think at the beginning of the day?
What would you have for breakfast?
What does the mundane stuff look like?

The more clear, the more profound you are, the clearer it will be to you.
What would you spend the first half of your day doing? Notice Your Day not The Day.
Who would you eat with?
What would your friends look like?
This is the day you would live endlessly.

What would you do for personal fulfillment?
What life purpose would you strive towards?
What would your business be?
What time would you start work?
What would you actually “DO” at work?
What are your client’s like?

What are your relationship like?
What would you do for your family time?
Who would you eat with?
What would you talk with?
What would you do at night?
Who would you do it with?
Where?
What would your thoughts be as you went to sleep?

These questions are based on on desired experience…not goals or things. Remember that our experiences help shape our identity.

The importance of this is to think in possibilities. To open up your mind to what if?

When I was a kid, I lived in a very small town and really wasn’t exposed to all of the possibilities of the world. There were things that if I knew they existed, I would have pursued them. I didn’t even consider some basic things were possible and my ambition was limited by that. If I had realized more possibilities or even imagined them, I might have looked to see if someone was already doing it.

Exercise: Do the perfect day exercise. Once again, I advocate for writing it rather than typing it.

Do the work, get the results.
